The Tableau Platform

So want to create a dashboard ? Let's look at the basic steps …

Tableau Platform

Step 1- Where do I find a dataset ?

Datasets can be found through websites such as gov.uk , tableau server, excel spreadsheet, XCS, CSV. There are so many types of datasets that you can download and connect to tableau.

Step 2- There's so much data ..where do I begin?

Don't panic if your data set looks big. You can prepare your data in tableau which helps you to understand your data and focus on what areas you would like to present on your dashboard.

Step 3- Create!

I would high recommended using excalidraw to help visualize where you would like to place your graph and present your dashboard to your audience.

Step 4- I've finished creating my dashboard-where can I share it?

You can share you work in two places within tableau.

-Tableau public: this is a platform that allows anyone to access your data visualization.

-Tableau server: which consists of a hosted server and a cloud server.

You can share it on both platforms and present your data to the public or member of your cloud server.
