Valerie graduated in Material & Sports Science BSc, it was in her foundation year that she developed an interest in data analytics from studying a Python module.
Data analytics speaks to Valerie’s curious nature. She’s enthusiastic to examine data until a conclusion can be drawn with problem-solving and critical thinking. Valerie loves to communicate the narrative by building dashboards and paying attention to best visual practices. Her days often start online on Tableau Public, Twitter, Pinterest etc. looking for inspiration that she can apply to her own work.
In order for Valerie to build dashboards she also likes getting behind the scenes in data prep using Alteryx and Tableau Prep, where she regularly completes Alteryx and Preppin’ Data challenges.
Valerie has worked in various industries such as; automotive, logistics and fulfilment, finance and sports analytics. Where she has been involved in producing dashboards, re-making dashboards and data prep using Alteryx.
Valerie currently holds Core certification in Alteryx and is working towards her Tableau Data Analyst certification.
Valerie is a keen sports player participating in hockey and football in her free time and is always open to trying new sports.
