Reuben joined The Data School after graduating from the University of the West of England with a first class degree in BSc Geography; and a year placement in the recruitment sector. Reuben first got an interest in data and analytics during this time. His degree required a lot of quantitative data analysis and many modules involved looking at geospatial data through systems such as ArcGIS. This is where Reuben found his love for identifying trends and features that were not initially clear to see.
Post graduation he gained experience in the wealth management sector working on an investment helpdesk, where he gained experience in communicating with a range of stakeholders and clients in challenging situations.
Reuben has recently completed his first placement with Paramount. He has greatly enjoyed his first step in his data career and putting what he has learnt at The Data School into practice.
Outside academia and work Reuben enjoys music, festivals and generally being outside. He can often be found exploring London after recently moving up from Cornwall and seeing all that the city has to offer.
