Having experienced data analysis and R in her MA in Human Rights at UCL, Ozlem realized she had an interest in analytical problem solving and technology. Ozlem’s interest in data is driven jointly by her curiosity in how technology works and well told stories.
Before joining The Data School, Ozlem spent 3.5 years in the Home Office, as a Policy Advisor in the Hate Crime team, then as a Senior Policy Advisor and project lead in the Protective Security Vulnerable Communities team.
While in the Data School, Ozlem has worked with Paramount Global, GLL, Public Health Wales, Unite Students, and the Access Group. She has mostly worked on Tableau development and some time supporting data transformation and Alteryx development. She has also held training for advanced Alteryx for PwC focusing on using API and spatial tools. Ozlem has spent her time between client placement to enhance her coding repertoire, with projects using Python and SQL found on her GitHub.
On the weekend, you will find Ozlem watching films, watching reviews about films, or generally ranting and raving about a film. She has also filmed and produced four music videos for up and coming music artists, which can be found on YouTube.
