Michael is a former legal recruitment consultant who has swapped CVs and candidates for data and dashboards.
After 18+ years in legal recruitment, he was ready to make a change and decided to move into data. He has always enjoyed solving problems, spotting patterns and trying to work out why something is happening, so the more he got into data the more he realised he really enjoyed it.
Michael is particularly interested in data visualisation and Tableau, and likes taking a complicated dataset, digging into it and eventually finding something interesting that he wasn't expecting to find. He finds it very satisfying to turn that into a dashboard that someone can actually understand and use.
He is still very much learning, which is a big part of why he joined the Data School. He is looking forward to getting better, learning from the people around him and seeing where this takes him.
Outside of data, Michael is a football fan, passionate regarding the welfare of animals, and a long-suffering Football Manager enthusiast.
