Mandy Wan

Mandy is a detail-oriented data consultant with experience collaborating in interdisciplinary teams across various industries including education, sports, travel, and retail. Her academic background lies in Psychology, where she spent 4 years honing her data analysis skills in R at the University of Glasgow. 

Motivated by her desire to turn insights into impact, she went on to complete an MSc in Human-Computer Interaction at the University of St Andrews. There, she gained valuable experience in problem-solving, UI/UX design, and user research through the delivery of digital solutions for academic clients. 

To support the accessibility of data for diverse audiences, Mandy has:

  • Managed a team of 5 to produce a suite of Tableau dashboards focused on player registration data for one of England’s national governing bodies, enabling never-before-seen analysis on club health.

  • Collaborated on a Tableau dashboard visualising CO² emissions breakdown for the world’s leading betting company, empowering data-driven decisions to drive reductions in their carbon footprint.

  • Delivered comprehensive and detailed data analyses for an international cargo company, providing actionable overviews of customer compliance and ATK data to optimise operational decision-making.

  • Designed and facilitated a Tableau training session for 15+ non-data professionals, equipping them with practical skills to independently analyse business data.

Outside of work, Mandy is an avid fan of fictional media, whether it is video games, films, or books. She also enjoys dabbling in art as well as making her own jewellery.
