Faith Rotich

When it comes to data visualisation, Faith believes that beauty is not a frill—it’s what lures people in and invites them to dig deeper and engage with the underlying information. In her work, she strives to create data visualisations that are not only supported by rigorous analysis, but are also visually appealing. This combination is crucial because beauty without insight can be misleading, and insight without beauty is unremarkable.

After graduating from Dartmouth College in the U.S. with a degree in Economics, Faith worked as a Product Lead in a global non-profit organisation. In her role, she was exposed to some data analytics and UX/UI Design where she discovered her interest in visual storytelling through data. She therefore sought opportunities—often going beyond her immediate responsibilities—to enhance work through data visualisation.

Faith spent the last year on a personal sabbatical, diving deeper into the data world, using tools like Tableau, Flourish, and SQL to explore questions that pique her curiosity. She joined The Data School because she wanted to be in a supportive environment where she could continue to learn—and share her knowledge—with others, while delivering value to clients through a balance of rigour and creativity.

Outside of work, Faith enjoys practising her street photography, dancing, and hot yoga.
