Christopher's passion for data stems from his interest in numbers, where as a child he would sit at the TV and work out various cricket statistics in his mind and relay them to his parents. This fueled his interest in statistics, economics and the most recent iteration, data.
With a degree in Economics from the University of Sussex, he focused on International Trade and Macroeconomics, with a dissertation focusing on Foreign Direct Investment in Sub-Saharan Africa. The importance and power of data to tell a story and convey insights with intuitive visualisation and presentation drove his pursuit into this career path.
Using tools such as Alteryx and Tableau, combined with an erudite consulting style he delivers clarity to clients, and so far has:
Managed a team of 6 to produce a suite of Tableau dashboards using the Shopify API to extract business data.
Designed and facilitated an Alteryx Training Session for 10+ non-data professionals, equipping them to independently analyse data.
Delivered detailed data analyses and pipeline optimisations for a specialist manufacturing company, generating actionable insights for client accounts.
Outside of work, Chris enjoys running and watching other sports, as well as reading books from economics to eccentric fiction.
