Carlos Pacheco

Carlos graduated from Brunel University with a degree in Computer Science. During this time he developed a love for data and analysis using R and Python.

During his time with the Data School Carlos has worked with a range of companies in various industries. During his time with Coca-Cola European Partners, he developed a data cleansing application using Alteryx which helped cleanse all customer data, automatically assign incorrect values and highlight errors

When working with Northern Trains he undertook many projects including developing financial reports, data migration, revenue protection analysis and more. Most of these projects were designed to be used by senior executives and became essential reporting tools within the business.

These placements gave exposure to, but were not limited to:

  • Creating data pipelines from various sources (websites via APIs/SFTPs, SQL servers, MongoDB) to various destinations (Snowflake, Tableau and Alteryx servers)
  • Managed Tableau, Alteryx, and Snowflake servers as well as user access and data management and RBAC
  • Designing, maintaining, and troubleshooting Alteryx workflows and Applications as well as Tableau dashboards for various use cases throughout the business
  • Trained and aided other employees on the various technologies used as well as being a point of reference for any questions

Away from data Carlos enjoys running a successful eBay store which occupies his weekends and developed as a hobby. He also enjoys watching and playing football as well as running, watching F1, and exploring new places. He is also currently undertaking a 'one new trip abroad per month' challenge in order to explore new places and cultures
