Andrew is a Data Analytics Consultant at Barclays Investment Bank, responsible for developing and deploying Tableau dashboards. Working within a team of developers, he has played a key role in optimising dashboard performance for Tableau Cloud, enhancing user interfaces, and managing financial datasets. He is also the sole developer of several dashboards with executive-level audiences across the bank.
Previously, Andrew completed placements with Amex GBT and 360 Forensic. In these roles, he built robust Alteryx workflows to restructure and integrate diverse client travel datasets, modernised legacy dashboards to support significantly larger data volumes, and used Python to develop a web scraper to automate data collection, and to generate mock data for testing and prototyping.
Andrew holds an MPhil in Linguistics (Distinction) from the University of Cambridge (2023), where his thesis applied computational methods to large text corpora, sharpening his Python expertise and sparking his transition into data analytics. He also earned a First-class MA from the University of Edinburgh, achieving 84% in Statistics, with a strong foundation in hypothesis testing, data visualisation, and quantitative analysis.
