Amanda Rodriguez

Amanda Rodriguez is delighted to use her natural curiosity and obsession with creating scalable and futureproof workflows to help people make sense of data. A seasoned customer success professional with a background in nonprofit and startup operations, Amanda started her data journey analyzing windfarm and water quality data sets as an Environmental Engineer. Finding that data isn’t complete without its human context, Amanda pivoted into roles that bridge the gap between users and developers through operations, success, and product management.

Naturally drawn to projects that push the envelope, she helped launch Berkeley, California’s first automated robot cafe, and worked on product improvements for a civic crowdfunding platform driving long-lasting neighborhood change. Amanda takes great pride in discovering how things work, how they can improve it, and how to solve problems collaboratively. Amanda is a wizard with well-crafted metaphors, and works to demystify concepts through accessible language and use of analogy. Former teammates have highlighted her problem solving as super responsive, innovative and inclusive.

Amanda is a supportive team member who believes in bringing her whole person to work. Outside of the office, you might find her buzzing around her neighborhood, hopping from mutual aid meetings, to the dog park, and even the local bird club. Her latest community project, the Society of Surprise and Delight, engages neighbors to take action to bring their community together in wonderful ways. More not-boring book clubs, letter writing parties to brighten the day of people who just got parking tickets, and performance art encouraging folks to be better park stewards to come!
